It is time to return to Phoenix but not without some stops along the way. But first we have to eat some breakfast, enjoy the views from our rooms and check out. Then we drive due west, away from Phoenix, to Wee Thump Joshua Tree Wilderness, a supposedly spectacular place with lots of Joshua trees.
And there are lots of Joshua trees here interspersed with cows, lots of cows. We find a few caches, some on hilltops which allows us some nice views.
We continue driving on the road that goes around the wilderness area finding caches and enjoying the beautiful forest.
It is in fact one of the best Joshua Tree forests we have seen on par with the Joshua Tree National Park if not even better. And it goes on and on as far the eyes can see.
It is a very scenic road so we take lots of photos and enjoy it until afternoon when it is time to start our return trip to Phoenix.
We stop a couple times in Arizona on the way to find caches and also to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the mountain cliffs. And then it is straight to Phoenix after a beautiful trip exploring this corner of Nevada.
