Before leaving Patagonia we want to stop once more at the Paton Hummingbird Garden. Specifically we are hoping for a javelina for our relative as we have seen them here before in numbers. And maybe we can find some special birds also? However there are only common birds up front so we are a bit disappointed but then we look around and our relative has vanished…where could she be?
We go to the backside which still has the countless squirrels and see our relative quite excitedly taking photos of something. We look in that direction and there it is, a javelina. It is great when the wildlife appears as expected and we stay a while taking photos and enjoying the javelina before it is time to leave to area for the last stop of the day, Tumacacori National Historical Park.
