This morning we have a courthouse appoinment that takes a lot of time, even though the occasion is a happy one. As such we leave really late in the day towards the Grand Canyon. This time we have planned around this, we know we cannot get in time to the North Rim to camp there so we stop in Flagstaff at a hotel for the night.
As we finally finished our courthouse appointments we celebrate with some good food at a restaurant in downtown Flagstaff and enjoy the cool evening on the outside terrace.
In the morning we get a typical american breakfast from the hotel and in fact this hotel has quite a good selection compared to many other US hotels. And then it is time to drive north towards the closest bridge over the Colorado river that will take us to the North Rim.
