On the last day of our visit to Morocco we and our relatives have different objectives. We decide to go downtown, explore a bit more and buy souvenirs while they decide to go to Jardin Majorelle, a garden focused more on cacti which we as being from Arizona decide to skip.

We are experts already on the streets in the medina and can relax while we explore the sidestreets slowly moving towards Jemaa el-Fnaa.

Today Jemaa el-Fnaa is emptier than usual and we take our time to explore the huge plaza for a while. We especially wanted to see the cafe that was the victim of a terrorism attack just a few months back in April, leading to tens of tourists being killed. It is a somber reminder that sometimes you can be in the wrong place at the wrong time, this could be either at home or abroad really.

We then return to the many alleys surrounding the market negotiating and bargaining and trying in general to find good deals.

And then it is time to return back to the Riad, meet with our relatives, get our bags and take the cab back to the airport.

Today we can sit more relaxed as we watch the taxi driving slowly through the crowded streets of the medina and making its way towards the airport.

As we exit the medina we are surprised to see a gated garden on the way, the area seems abandoned but the water features are working so we are quite intrigued but are not able to find what it is. And then it is back into the plane for the short flight to Marseilles where we spend the night before continuing our France exploration.
