Colorado is one of the neighboring states that is difficult to reach given that we have to drive diagonally across Arizona for about six hours before even entering it. As such the minimum days that we need to allocate for such a visit is four days to make it worthwhile. And for this extended weekend we do exactly that with our base in Colorado being Telluride, a historic mining town. The whole area is quite beautiful and at high altitude with lots of ruins and waterfalls sprinkled across the landscape and we really enjoy our visit.
