As usual in Doha it seems that the major activity in the airport is quite early in the morning. So early that barely have a few hours of sleep at the hotel before at 2AM we sit outside with our luggage waiting for our Uber. Luckily the rideshare business is quite developed here and after a smooth ride we are back at the airport. Getting inside is easier than expected and then it is time to explore again the airport that we started to know so well, this time from the scary looking Lamp Bear.

The first order of business is to buy some Labubus for some of our relatives so we have to go back to the area we originally stayed in where there was a pop up store with labubus. It is surprising how much more busy the airport is at night versus in the evening when we arrived sooo many weeks ago.

We find our targets and then it is time to enter the lounge and eat some breakfast. Of course we will get served food on the long flight but the quality is so and so so why not prepare in advance with something good.

Before leaving Doha we want to explore the famous Gardens in more detail. This time we actually descend into them and they seem to be quite popular with many travellers resting or exploring them. Which is what we do also in the 15 minutes we have before our plane is called.

And then it is time for a long flight to Dallas and then a shorter hop to Phoenix. During the flights we have time to remember all the good times we had in Tanzania and Doha, for certain we have taken our sweet time to return to Africa but now we are looking forward to do this more often as we really enjoyed the trip!!
