After our Igel fiasco we make our way towards Darmstadt but we still have a few stops planned. But the first stop is unplanned, we have to find a restroom and that can be quite difficult as most rest areas do not have toilets or any other facilities. But in the end we find one where half of the toilets are non functional but at least half are functional so they can be used. And then we stop near Mannheim where we just touch Baden-Württemberg to find a cache there, we didn’t find one yet in this state so why not if we are just passing through.

The cache is across the tracks in a patch of forest that is populated by some weird people or so it seems so we decide to follow the track near the railway tracks and try to find the caches there. Unfortunately we are unlucky so we decide to try a different type which is more inland, maybe we will have more luck.

And going into the forest it is much cooler as there is shade which is great. But at least we find the cache so at least we can return back to the car before we die of heat exhaustion.

We have parked in a supermarket parking lot and decide to actually go in and buy some cold drinks and some provisions for the last days before moving on. Surprisingly right as we start, before even reaching the main highway we see a flock of storks above us, so so cool! And then we are on our way to our next planned stop the Auerbach Castle, one of the famous castles in the area.
