Arriving in Doha and two nights at Fraser Suites

After giving back our car with only a cursory inspection and no big issues it is time to pass through security and passport control. As usual here this is more complicated than it has to be with lots of questions and moving from lane to lane before finally we are inside the secure area. Here we go crazy with our last Tanzanian shillings and then go to the lounge which is quite nice, really.

As on arrival we walk to the plane, luckily the weather is good not sure what would be the solution if it would rain torrentially. And then we are up in the air on our flight to Doha where we plan to stay two nights and visit the city for a full day.

The reason behind this is that the plane arrives quite late so we had spend a night in the airport otherwise. And of course we are curious to visit one more country, or at least the capital of that country.

We arrive at the hotel at 2AM and luckily they are open but they do not really care for a while as they are engaged in an animated conversation. After they finally notice us and we complete all needed forms we are happy to take the elevator to our room, we are quite tired by this point.

The room is quite normal hotel like with way two many light switches, it takes forever to find the switches for everything. The bonus is a nice bathtub where we can relax and soak if we have time, not now of course. We fall asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillow, we know tomorrow we have a long day out planned.

In the morning it is time for breakfast and now we have also time to see the hotel from the outside, it looks impressive and modern, as befits Doha. It even has a small garden inside near the breakfast area.

And then we have breakfast which is buffet and plentiful. And then we go out and explore with a few more stops back at the hotel to refill our water bottles and relax. And then again in the middle of the night it is time to take an Uber back to the airport for the flight back home after a nice stay in this hotel.
