From Bray we turn inland towards Wicklow Mountains National Park. Here our goal is to visit Glendalough with its visitor center and network of trails. However we somehow overshoot it and arrive at Wicklow Gap. As we don’t have that much time either way allocated to the visit we decide to hike a bit around Wicklow Gap. There is a maintained trail near a creek that we follow for a while.
The turnaround point are the ruins we see on the hill. We explore them for a while but cannot determine what they are so we return to the car and continue on.
