Today we leave Newfoundland from Deer Lake which is about one hour away. We have to pass through most of Gros Morne again and again we are ready for moose on the road, it would be bad to have issues with the car on the last day. What we see is a bird in a tree so we stop on the side of the road and take a closer look, it is a bald eagle, yay!
In fact it is not only a bald eagle, even more exciting there are river otters on the shore. We watch them for quite a while as they play on the shore then in water then go back on the shore for a short break before starting again.
We then exit the National Park, fill up our car with gas which is more difficult than we expected, and then reach the airport. We leave the car in the parking lot and then we return it officially and it is time to enter the airport proper.
We spend some time just wondering around, it is a small airport so there isn’t that much to see. So we are happy when we see our plane arriving and now we have only a little left before leaving for Phoenix.
There is no issue with the plane leaving due to rain or fog as we were afraid and soon we are in the air flying towards Toronto from where we will continue towards Phoenix.
Luckily there are no surprises in Toronto either and our flight is smooth and we get into Phoenix in the evening tired but already planning the next Canada vacation as we had a a great time in Newfoundland.
