Switzerland is a country quite lauded for its beauty but somehow in never clicked with us in our two visits. It might be because it is overpriced, it might be because the people there felt condescending or it might be just because we never found the right place to enjoy the beauty without any major crowds, who knows. Either way we are likely going to keep trying but for us it simply felt overrated compared to other countries.
We visited Switzerland twice, once for a brief trip to Geneva and the second time a longer trip from Basel to Zurich visiting friends. We explored a few of the cities in Switzerland and even walked the trails for a short while but there are certainly a lot more opportunities to go out and enjoy nature than we were able to do during our visits. Maybe next time….
