Evening exploring the south of San Juan
We spend the evening exploring the beautiful San Juan downtown and the many stores and end the day at the impressive, for us, Parque de Las Palomas
San Felipe del Morro Castle, the second castle
We walk past La Perla to the second major Unesco WHS San Felipe del Morro Castle an imposing castle at the tip of the peninsula
Castillo de San Cristobal, our first fortress of the day
The first attraction of the day is Castillo de San Cristobal, a beautiful Unesco WHS with lots of interesting places to visit
First steps in San Juan
We start the day in San Juan by exploring the downtown area and trying to find something to eat
Black Canyon Trail from Glorianna TH
For the second weekend in a row we explore a section of the BCT this time from Glorianna TH seeing again dead cows and poorwills, deja vu
Black Canyon Trail Little Pan from Table Mesa
Today we decide to explore the Black Canyon Trail on a section we have not visited before from Table Mesa finding scorpions, poorwills and dead cows
Last evening in France and Paris
In the afternoon we walk from the Catacombs area towards the Seine passing imposing buildings and green gardens like Luxembourg Garden
The unsettling and worthwhile Catacombs of Paris
The major stop for the day for us is the Catacombs of Paris a really worthwhile stop even though difficult to get into
Arc de Triomphe to Eiffel Tower
In the morning we start with a walk from the Arc de Triomphe to the Eiffel Tour on Champs Elysees sightseeing along the way
Medieval Avallon, last stop outside Paris
Last stop for the day is Avallon a small historic town with some interesting sights
