Morocco is the first African country we visited and as such holds a special place in our memories. It is a kingdom that covers the northwestern tip of Africa, relatively stable and with a vibrant tourism industry focused on its famous cities like Marrakech, Fez and Casablanca and the Atlas Mountains. it has historical place galore and lots of natural places worth visiting, however it is recommended to do it outside of summer when it can get unbearably hot.
Our only visit was more like a side trip from a larger trip through France when we spent a few hectic and memorable days in Marrakesh. It was quite a worthwhile trip and we are since planning to return whenever time permits to explore more of the countryside and a few more historical cities.
