National Postal Museum

One of the Museums we visit during our exploration of Washington is the National Postal Museum. This is probably not the choice of many people but given that we collected stamps at various points we are curious to see what the exhibits will be. It is quite a large museum and quite a bit is dedicated to the history of the Postal Service in the US especially at the Western frontier.

There are also stamp exhibits, of course, and quite a few of events or interactive exhibits likely for children. However as there is no age limit we jump in and have fun with each of them especially given that there are few other visitors.

Interestingly there is also an exhibit about the Hindenburg disaster given that the photographer was the person that was collecting mail from the zeppelin. And then it is time to continue exploring, we are going towards the US Capitol next.
