We dedicate this Sunday to geocaching and decide to try for some rarely found caches. They are in an area we haven’t explored previously, past the Seven Springs area. We then have to turn on the New River Road which is marked as 4WD however is good enough until a spur trail claims towards New River Mesa. That road is in really rough shape so we park and hike up towards the mesa.
The caches are found easily after a five mile hike and we enjoy the great views before returning to the car and civilization. It was quite an enjoyable hike and we didn’t see a soul throughout the hike making it a perfect one.
