Next we have a hike planned to a couple of major ghost town attractions on our route. The trail takes us first to the Ironton Townsite which has multiple well preserved ruined houses.
The biggest one looks almost like a church, we try to guess what it is but with no luck.
The trail then continues over the Red Mountain Creek on a, luckily, well maintained bridge continuing towards the Colorado Boy Mine ruins.
The Colorado Boy Mine is impressive also with some well preserved mining buildings. Sometimes we are surprised how well the buildings survived the elements for decades.
Inside there is a vertical mine shaft, now closed, where likely a small elevator cage descended to the bottom mine.
