We have a long drive back to Arizona ahead of us but before we leave we say goodbye to the hotel room that we didn’t use nearly as much as we hoped. And we also explore the “ruins” of a nearby development that was intended to look like a real pueblo but seems to have been abandoned since.
Due to the length of the drive we make only a couple stops today but the first one is quite fun. It is at Camel Rock, a rock shaped like a….camel of course. It is very lifelike in our opinion and fun to see. The other stop is near Santa Fe at a couple caches that allow us some nice views over the town. Afterwards it is mostly a beeline towards Phoenix with only a few stops to stretch our legs or buy gas. We make it safely without any additional issues after an excursion that was quite cool but with some unexpected adventures on the way.
