In the morning we finally have some time to take a look at the hotel and eat some typical American breakfast. And then comes the fun part, we have to find a place to get a new spare tire. We first go to Walmart but they don’t have the right size and then we try one more and still no luck. In the end we give up and decide to drive without a spare for the next couple days and hopefully we will not have another blowout.
It is late in the day when we finally get out to do touristy stuff and we decide to do some caching near Los Alamos. There are some interesting caches in the area on some nice overlooks of the Los Alamos neighborhoods.
We also explore the Valle Grande a bit further away with some nice views and meadows and we walk around enjoying the flowers and the views while finding the caches in the area.
As the sun is setting we return to Los Alamos and walk a bit in the downtown area before returning to the hotel after a day that was cut short from a tourist standpoint due to our adventures with finding a new tire in the morning.
