After Montparnasse Cemetery we decide to walk till Jardin du Luxembourg (Luxembourg Garden) and eat along the way, if we find something. If not we would take the subway and find something to eat near our hotel before packing for our return trip.
However on the way there are mostly parks with government buildings with no restaurants or other places to eat. We enjoy the grand statues and buildings and the large boulevards in the garden but slowly give up on the idea of finding a place to eat.
And then the Garden of Grand Explorers ends at a fence, we can see the next garden, Luxembourg Garden on the other side of the street however it is quite a detour to enter it. And it makes little sense why not continue the alley with a pedestrian crossing over the street?
Surprisingly, even though the two parks are right next to each other, Luxembourg Garden is chock full of people. To us it feels even dangerously full, if there is an emergency this might result in a stampede.
Especially right next to the Luxembourg Palace, a former Royal residence now housing the Senate, there are throngs of people that seem to enjoy the small water features nearby.
We then take the subway to our hotel and there we have little trouble finding a good place to eat. We find both something filling and something for our sweet tooth and as it is getting late it is time to return to our hotel afterwards. We pack and go to sleep early as we have to be very early in the morning at the bus station to pick a bus to the airport for our return trip. All goes well and soon we are on the plane back after an exhausting but beautiful trip through France and Morocco.
