We hesitate for some time on whether to visit Aprodite’s Rock at all. It is supposed to be the birthplace of Aphrodite but we also assume it is a tourist trap. We are proven right this time, it is a full parking space with a restaurant/store and even an underground tunnel to cross to the beach instead of crossing the street. And there are people, lots and lots of people, quite a few more than to more deserving places in Cyprus.
The views at least are beautiful, with the seashore stretching out in both directions and lots of interesting rock formations on the way.
But still there are so many people that there is no chance of enjoying the area in peace. So after seeing Aphrodite’s Rock we decide to return to the car and continue on towards more deserving destinations.
