With relatives in town we want to spend some time with them in the desert so they can enjoy the various cacti. However it is quite cold most days and even rainy so it is more difficult than we expected to go out far an hour to explore the nearby desert.
One of the reasons we wanted to come out here was to show our drone to our relatives and we find an out of the way wash from where we can launch it for a brief survey of the area.
We take a few photos of the desert from different heights and then as we are freezing it is time to pack up the drone and turn around.
However we take a slightly different route back to enjoy the many chollas, from a distance, and also to see some saguaros before speeding to the car, as we are quite cold, and then home.
