Due to our relatives we have quite the busy program while in town. One of the things that they invited us to and we readily accepted is an evening concert called “Discoteca 90” where formations famous in the 90’s are going to perform their hits. We really are looking forward to it however it seems that we won’t be able to make it as a powerful storm makes its way through Cluj flooding streets and making a mess of traffic. However it settles down and we can make it in the end just an hour late.
With the rain stopped we make it from the parking lot to the entrance without being drenched. Luckily also the lines at the entrance are inexistent, we initially thought they would be much longer but likely they were scared by the rain, or were there early of course.
Inside is craziness with the concert going in full swing. It takes a bit to find our places and then convince the people that are sitting there to leave. And then it is time to turn our attention to the stage to identify the formation that is playing.
Luckily the formations are clearly identified multiple times and of course we recognize their hits. Rednex is playing when we arrive and then another big hit is Lou Bega, with the crowd going wild during his performance.
The spectacle can be quite impressive even for lesser known formations and we enjoy the laser and light show both during the acts and between them.
The highlight and the last act of the show is La Bouche. Unfortunately half of the duo is sick but the remaining person does his best performing all the famous songs and we really enjoy it. And then it is time to leave after a great time at the show, even the rain has stopped completely when we return back to the car and then our accomodation.
