After museums and churches and a good dinner all that is left is to wander and explore the downtown area for a while to walk the pounds off. And to enjoy the architecture and just maybe enter the famous Starbucks Reserve store for which you have to queue usually. We window shop along the way but not for formal dresswear for certain, there are really no ocassions where we would need it.
On the way we notice a church that draws our eyes and even though we are churched-out for today we decide to see if it can be entered.
It can and as it is small and we are the only people inside we decide to stop a bit and enjoy the cooler temperatures and the beautiful architecture.
We pass the Scala Theater again and some impressive buildings as we make our way towards the famous Starbucks store.
What is so special about this Starbucks store? For starters it is housed in a very impressive historic building that formerly housed the Central Post Office. Secondly it is quite large with multiple vending points and really full of people and lots of interesting machinery that we assume is used to produce coffee?!
And it also has a roastery or at least that is what we assume the machine in the middle is. But while we think to buy some sweets we are quite full already so after a quick tour we exit the store and make our way towards the nearest subway station.
As it happens the nearest metro station is at the Duomo so we have another opportunity to see it today before finally visiting it tomorrow. The return back is uneventful, today we refuse to run to catch the train so we have a bit more time to explore the train station before the long ride home.
