This is a trip that we planned on the fly as we were deciding what to do to celebrate the weekend. As the weather appeared good and we found a nice looking AirBnB,, the Flagstaff area it is. We have some unfinished business here as we really want to explore the high altitude Arizona Trail near Humphrey a bit more while also continuing our exploration of the Flagstaff Loop Trail. We are able to do both in this trip while also finding birds galore and just enjoy the cleaner and cooler air at higher altitudes.

We start our extended weekend trip in the Flagstaff area with the Kachina Wetlands looking for birds and caches - High Altitude Arizona Trail hiking
Our goal is to explore a section of the Arizona Trail we have never been on which is also at high altitude to avoid the heat of the day - A hot day on the Flagstaff Loop Trail
Last day on our trip we explore Flagstaff and then hike on a new section, for us, of the Flagstaff Loop Trail
