Today we return to Phoenix after our two nights spent in a quasi religious compound. However we decide to return on a different route and see a few ghost towns along the way. We start with something really close by , the historic Pearce Jail. It was built around 1915 at a cost of $615.45 and it has two cells. Unfortunately it cannot be entered so we can explore only from the outside.

It looks to be quite in good shape and we go round a couple times admiring it before moving on. Today we are going on the ghost town trail and are wondering if there are really that many ghost towns along the route?

There are a few more historic buildings in Pearce so we assume it is the starting ghost town on the trail and on we go following the dirt road towards Courtland the next in the series of ghost towns.
