This long Martin Luther King weekend we decide to explore New Mexico, and specifically the area around Albuquerque. We are attracted by the fact that thousands of snow geese and cranes overwinter here, it seems like a great place to visit. We are also looking forward to exploring the historic Albuquerque downtown and visiting the Tent Rocks National Monument as well a few other attractions on the way. And beside the cold, it was really really cold with snow in some areas, we really enjoy the trip seeing lots and lots of waterfowl while exploring the Bosque del Apache NWR in New Mexico and some interesting historic locations.
