This weekend we decide to drive to Page and explore the area around it with a focus on slot canyons and interesting rock formations. We start with a visit to the ruins of Richinbar Mine on the way before exploring Wire Pass slot canyon, the Beehive area and the Horseshoe Bend near Page on the remaining days.

  • A special stop at Richinbar Mine ruins
    We start our trip with a very interesting stop at the abandoned mine of Richinbar with multiple destroyed buildings and lots to explore
  • The really narrow Wire Pass Canyon
    Today we spend the day in Wire Pass Canyon a beautiful and famous slot canyon right next to the Wave
  • Exploring the Beehive formations
    We start the day by exploring the Beehives area similar to the Wave with multiple special formations to explore but less popular
  • A stop at the still free Horseshoe Bend
    Last major stop of the trip is the Horseshoe Bend overlook with some beautiful views of the Colorado River Canyon and even some tame rabbits
