After hiking the Paria Box we stop at a nearby trail, the Paria Rimrocks trail and decide on a short hike. Supposedly there are some nice views and we hope that with the sun behind us we can get some beautiful photos. And really the views from the Rim are beautiful with hoodoos below us that we decide we must explore up closer the next day.
It really looks like we are in Bryce Canyon with red striped white rocks being quite common and red rocks all around us.
The sun is below the horizon and we enjoy the views all around us of red and white rocks and flowers as the horizon catches fire in the waning sunlight. And then we return to the car and drive to Page to settle in our hotel room and find some dinner.
The hotel room is quite typical with one difference being the isolated toilet which is less typical. But we don’t plan to spend a lot of time in the hotel soon we are out to search for dinner.
We decide on a BBQ restaurant which is a local staple and quite full so we order take out and then eat the very good brisket and pulled pork and then quite full we go to sleep as tomorrow we have a very busy day.
