…afternoon in Phoenix Park

After everyone has woken up, after getting so tired in the morning at the Dublin Castle, we take a tram to Phoenix Park, a huge park inside Dublin. It is where the residence of the Irish President is located as well as other public interest buildings.

It is a very popular park which makes the wildlife accustomed to humans. We are especially taken in by the mallards which with their chicks are begging for crumbs at the lake’s edge.

We also find the herd of fallow deer even if the views are only from a distance. To our surprise we also are able to capture close photos of barn swallows resting on a tree, it is quite unusual for them to sit still.

We wander around a bit more finding geocaches as we hike and looking at the beautiful monuments before finally tired returning to the hotel for our last night in Dublin.
