Caching around Williams

After the night spent car camping near Williams we wake up early in the morning. This is both because the sun starts hitting our car and it is heating up fast and because of the nearby activity. We weren’t able to find a completely secluded spot so there are ATV milling around in the distance and people shouting which have the side effect of breaking the forest silence we so enjoy.

We really don’t have that much planned today just to explore the forest surrounding Williams and finding caches along the way. There are some nice places to see including a few ponds and some caches can be exciting to get to and from cache to cache, place to place the day passes by.

As we get into the afternoon the clouds start to gather which is the sign for us to leave for home. We escape the worse of the monsoon storm but there are lots of lightning strikes in the distance, impressive as long as it doesn’t hit you or your car.
