Before starting seriously on the way back to Phoenix we decide to do one more trail at least for a short distrance, the “Galloping Goose Trail”. We couldn’t resist the name and the trail is nice even though we explore it only for about half mile while finding a couple caches.
And then it is time for the long drive back passing again through Navajoland and the beautiful red rock formation. We arrive late in the evening after a great trip exploring many ghost towns and alpine vistas.
