From Chimayo we continue to Taos which is not that far away and one of the major goals for the trip. It is quite a touristy little town with the downtown area full of stores and souvenir shops and we start exploring it as soon as we find a parking spot.
We continue exploring the many side streets and stores In Taos while also searching for a place to eat. Somehow it doesn’t feel like there are many historical sights here, many buildings look new but buit in a historical style.
We finally find a restaurant and buy some food. It is great to relax a bit and energize especially as we still have a long hike planned.
The last place we visit in Taos is the historic cemetery. There are lots of interesting tombstones in the cemetery and after exploring it thoroughly it is time for the last planned stop for the day.
