To celebrate this weekend we decide to explore the borderlands of Arizona and Utah with a visit to Kanab. We are especially interested in Lick Wash that we tried to visit before but weren’t able to. But on the way there and back we have a few other interesting stops planned so on we go on a great trip through the northern part of Arizona and southern side of Utah.

Click on the Links below or Markers on the map above to go directly to a specific part of our trip and follow our long trip to and from Kanab and our visit to Lick Wash.

  • Rarick Canyon Petroglyphs
Rarick Canyon is an area full of petroglyphs that can be difficult to find mostly below the rim and in the canyon
  • T Bar Ranch Ruins
On the way to Kanab we stop for a short visit at T Bar Ranch Ruins a spectacular ranch ruin worth visiting
  • Lick Wash and Kanab
Besides visiting Kanab for a short while we spend most of the day on Lick Wash Trail a beautiful trail through a slot canyon ending at the historic LeFevre cabin on No Man’s Mesa
  • Eagle Sink and return to Phoenix
On the way back we stop by Eagle Sink a lesser known but impressive limestone sinkhole before taking the scenic route home
