After Rarick Canyon the next stop is at the T Bar Ranch ruins, a very scenic location with surprisingly little information about it online. It is however worth a visit if at all interested in ruined buildings.
Inside it is not in great shape but still you can get an idea on how it would have looked when it was fully functional. While exploring we decide against entering the room identified with “Death this Way”, just in case we are suddenly in a horror movie…..
We do one more short stop to view the Mormon Lake from the overlook. There is no elks or anything interesting on the lake today so we move on to the long drive through the Navajo nation.
The drive here is quite scenic however you really cannot explore the area as everything is private or difficult to access. Either way we want to arrive in Kanab at a reasonable hour and we make good time catching also a beautiful sunset as we approach Utah.
