Today our plan is to follow a few caches into the Bulldog Canyon Area. It is an area close to Phoenix that we haven’t explored before and we are wondering if the views are reasonable good. We shouldn’t have wondered, out of the gate (parking gate that is) we enjoy the nice views of the mountains and Sonoran desert.
We go from cache to cache following dirt roads, trail or off track and we thoroughly enjoy this day out. We are especially surprised by the views, they can be quite impressive as we make our way through the desert.
Having a trail is a luxury as we approach the last cache and we are happy to follow also animal trails or anything else that avoids the cholla which can be quite painful and annoying to take out. And then it is time to return to the car, today is an exception and we make it back prior to sunset (the views are still great even so).
