Today we are starting relatively late in the day so we decide to go close by and explore a new area in South Mountain Park. Finding parking especially free can be difficult to do on weekends but we manage and soon are starting on a trail. It has great views of west Phoenix however following it can be quite confusing due to many other trails interesecting it along the way.
We follow it for a while before returning on another one creating a short loop. We get some nice views of downtown Phoenix from the crest as well as another nice sunset as we reach the car. Overall it was a nice day out and a quick jaunt in South Mountain.
